This recipe is wonderfully easy to bake or grill. You can prep the salmon during the day and put in the fridge until your guests come. When you’re ready, just pull it out of the fridge and pop into the oven or grill and it’s done in just 25 minutes.
Asian Salmon

minutesMarinade for tender, flavorful baked or grilled salmon.
Ingredients
2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
3 Tbsp soy sauce
1/2 – 1 tsp minced fresh garlic
6 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
3 lbs salmon fillets
Directions
- Stir together Dijon mustard, soy sauce and garlic.
- Whisk in the good quality olive oil until well blended.
- Cut 3 lbs. of salmon fillets into 4 inch strips and put half of the marinade on the top. Allow to rest for 10-20 minutes before grilling or baking.
- Grilling:
- Place salmon over medium heat and grill on each side for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes remove from heat and cover with remaining marinade. Wrap tightly in foil for 10 minutes.
- Baking:
- Bake in a preheated 400° F oven for about 20 minutes until cooked through. Add reserved marinade to top of salmon when cooked and let sit wrapped in foil for at least 5 minutes.
Notes
- Costco’s frozen salmon makes this recipe easy to make. Just give yourself a few extra minutes to defrost each piece.
We planned to make this one Sunday then realized that we were feeding the missionaries. The missionaries said it was some of the fanciest food they had had on their mission! They said they always get fed enchiladas or other Mexican food.
